I don't understand. Did you recharge the ammonia to 4-5ppm and then a bunch of time went by (if so, how many hours?) or did you not recharge the ammonia?

Have you considered getting a liquid KH test kit?

Just to clear things up, I did recharge the ammonia adding 3ml in after the 90% change ( most likely bringing it up to ~4-5ppm). This morning the ammonia level is at 1.0ppm.
I also did a 30% water change this morning after checking the ammonia level. I will check all levels this evening.
