heres a couple of pics of a fish i got when buying some neons.. was in bag when i got home
sorry about quality only got a phone to take pics
hope you can help.. not a clue what it is lol

First thing that comes to mind is Corydora, but I think it may be some form of Brochis, not sure on the species though, Catfish aren't my thing.

It's a Cory of some sort.

agreed , corydora of some sort . unsure which species tho . have you just got the 2? if so then ideally getting a few more would be good ( assuming of course you intend to keep these 2 ) as cories are social fish that do best kept in groups

and also best kept on a sandy substrate as they like to sift the top layer of substrate.

just got the 1 , was getting 5 neons and when got home had 4 neons and this .. am changing to sand soon got my bag from argos just getting some more wood etc before doing it..

have noticed it hides quiet a bit

Yes, it's not going to be at all happy on those pebbles

Also it wil hide because it's got no companions of corys it will be more secure in a group

Well hes definately a cory of some sort, post some pictures in the cory section sure someone there will know what he is.

Ideally you need to get him another 5 friends but the more the merrier, what size is your tank?

I believe it could be C.albolineatus I could be wrong however.
