Fish Id Please

Hello there. A friend of mine was given a fish tank and had a bunch of fish in it... including this nice lookin fellow. I think its a malawi of some sort but not sure. Its tank mates are clown loach, silver dollars, corys, pleco and some wee orange thing. It SEEMS ok so far and the past owners say its ok. I have a sneeky suspition that it'll eat and/or kill all his fish but what do I know
Any help would be great..........

SHOULD being the key word here, yes. Dependant upon what the wee orange thing is.
