Ok so I have this tank setup its cold water atm with a goldfish that was won at a dodgy carnival and given to me so im looking after it till i can re-home him but once ive done that im interested as to what I could put in it after either as a cold water set-up or buying a small heater and filter for tropical.

Any suggestions?

Not much in all honesty. Maybe a shrimp tank or a single male betta (siamese fighter fish).

Yep, same - one betta. Or maybe 6 ember tetra's, you might get away with that.

how about an endler tank...they breed like mad but u could sell some

i personally wouldn't put endlers in a tank that size due to there breeding

a male betta / shrimp / ADFs (african dwarf frogs) would be ok though

OK well I may have found a pond for my goldy to join so for a beta am I going to need a filter and my water seems to stay at around 26-28degrees so is that ok for a beta or will i need a heater also?

Yep you will need a filter for a betta, providing your tank doesnt go below the 26 mark you should be ok without a heater.

Would this work ok?

You could get away with 3 or 4 male endlers. No females means no population explosion. Another option would be Micropoecilia picta although they are harder to find.

If you do a complete water change every 2-3 days, you should be fine without a filter. A lot of people keep bettas without a filter or heater.
You will need to constantly feed them live food though.

Yeah I'd go for a small all male endler group :good:

Just wondering, what are the dimensions of the tank?

Endlers would be a good choice as they stay very small and are very colourful.

Some brands do small filters for tanks that size too.

Good luck
