I don't think people would be jumping down her throat if she hadn't posted the OP in this thread with all of the "I don't care what you say" attitude to begin with. If she had just said, something like "I know you guys told me it wasn't a good idea, I myself have told people it wasn't a good idea, but I'd like to try anyway." I'm sure the posts here would be ALOT different from what she's getting.

You gotta realize that folks are going to get frustrated with eachother, specially if advice given is ignored and met with attitude.

I am sorry I posted. All I ended up doing is making an argue Unless you are screaming at me than please don't post. I don't know why you guys are arguing. I think amunet is right because I said I did not really care if you guys wanted me to spawn or not. But that does not mean I do not want your advice ABOUT the spawn.

I think that really no matter what she posted, people would still jump at her, i have seen it in the past, someone (usually new) will come by and say I am thinking of breeding, and then a group comes and flames them until they leave and don't come back. Quite frankly, I don't blame her for making her first post asking people not to come to only say bad things. Don't you find it sad, that she knows what people here are like, so she feels the need to make a post like that? Doesn't that give people an indication of what some people on here are like?

the funny thing Michelle is right. FBT may have come across strong, but I used to post regularly around here. Not many people from my posting days are still around, and it has gotten very negative on this forum.

Granted not many people agree with a CT x VT , me included but if she wants to, let her. Fish forums used to be alot friendlier, what has happened?

i think this thread needs to be started again before someone gets hurt -

if i was you fbt then id start another thread for your first spawn and go from there.

i dont think the forum gets on at people i just think that were trying to do whats best for bettas and that should always be the case - what is said on here can sometimes be taken in the wrong perspective as you cant type sarcasticly or seriously and it sometimes gets misundertood.

i have learnt alot on here and hopefully i have tried to give to people the knowledge i have learnt.

lets all start over - vts are beautiful and deep down we all love a vt its probably where we all started

good luck with the spawn mate im sure the whole of tff is right behind you

lets promote bettas in a good way.

yes VTs did start the HM/ CT breed, IBC has a picture of the grand daddy of all the half moons, called R39

The VT may have been the start of the long finned form, but it was NEVER the standard, and from the beginning, the IBC breeders were breeding away from the arch, and towards more symetrical fins.
The VT may have been the start of the long finned betta, but even what was considered show form when the IBC was started was still miles away from the VT.

Please enlighten me as to how pointing out the obvious is attacking her? I've said it before I have the best interest of the fish in mind, I mean thats what these forums are for is it not? To help people with their fish and ensure that they're taking proper care of them. Isn't that why you're here? Because if you don't have the best interest of the fish at heart then maybe you're in the wrong place. Also do not single me out for "attacking" her many others feel the same and voice it just as much as I do. If anyone came on here and put there fish at risk people would be on their backs too.

How is poiting out the obvious attacking her? Well if I look back in either of these two threads (one of which was closed) all I can see from people (including yourself) is going at her non stop. You have 'pointed out the obvious' enough times. You have the best interest of the fish in mind? Then why not give useful advice to her, when she is asking, rather than critisizing and being rude and 'pointing out of the obvious' for the hundredth time. Is that really having the best interest? Not likely. Do not question whether I have the best interest of my fish at heart. Do not assume things about me, if you understood the reason why I have been continually asking people to stop, is because in amongst all of this mess, there are actually people who give a damn and are trying to help her, rather than scare her away. I am not singling you out, I am merely askign why can't this stop? You just so happened to post after the other thread was closed from people like the lot of you who are tearing at her.

All I am asking for is people to just lay off. If they have useful information and not just comments of "you don't know what you are doing, blah bla blah" then that should be posted, not always critizising people. You haven't been here that long, you know how many people I have seen leave the board because of people critisizing and they don't get the help they need? Were any of the people who are attacking at FBT pros when they first spawned? Hell no.
