Firemouth Cichlid Tank Mates

so my electric blue  jack Dempsey died a month ago don't no why I tested the water and no signs of being bullied he was the boss lol.
 
 
 
so now I need some fish some schooling fish would be nice I like the look of tiger barbs.i just wonted to know how many could i have.
 
or any other schooling fish that would work
 
I have a 4ft juewl 300 litre tank only two fire mouths both male  and a pleco l48

Tiger barbs are some of my favorite. I had a group of 16 of them in a tank your size, only more cichlids. You could easily have a big school of them.
