Erm... Where are you getting this info from Paul?

You can keep 2-3 Chinese fire bellied newts in a 10 gallon, and it'd be even better since it's a UK gallon tank. And the same thing I tell anyone who wants to learn about newts, the place I get most of my info from is caudata.org... As long as you follow the info there, you're on your way to having happy newts! What speices are you planning to get first of all?

I have 2 CFB newts in my 10 gal, and they couldn't be happier. Look at my profile for more details... (and a pic ) You can keep fish in there, as long as they can tolerate the cold water, because most newts need to be kept at temps. below the low seventies Fahrenheit wise. Also, since CFB newts aren't fast enough to catch fish, or feeder shrimp for that matter, mixing these 2 shouldn't be a problem. I have 3 WCMM's in with my 2 CFB newts. No problems all around.

There are a few threads about CFB newts here, do a search on this particular forum, and you'll see. Set it so that you can view all the threads, not just the ones made within the past 30 or 60 days...
