well i was getting pi**ed of with my hex shaped tank not only because of the fact that it had 6 sides to clean but because it was a naff shape to scape etc so on saturday i went out a brought myself a clear seal tank 18x10x10 for 15 pounds and a fluval 1 for 13.99 and a tenners worth of plants. oh and lets not for get the new lights, what do you think im chuffed to bits

plants are giant vallis cork screw valls amazon swords and hava moss the idea of the giant vallis is to grow central and forwards across the water to give finley my betta a place to bubble nest and its working already


just so you dont get confused because you think you've seen this post else where i have posted this in the planted section but i have a feeling some of you guys rearly go in there

they are arcadia arc lights thet just clip on reasonable price too

shadow's tank doesn't have a lid and he's never attempted to jump. i've left pacific's and aladdin's off and neither one of them have tried to jump either.

Only one of my bettas have ever jumped. I know they have the ability to, because they'd jump for food.

I've had two girls jump in my betta history, I've noticed the girls tend to jump more then the boys for whatever reason. But do be careful that they don't jump.

Yeah, it was my HM girl that jumped.

my uncle's male betta jumped out of a tank - we saw him... were gone for 10 minutes max... and we saw him on the floor gasping... we tried saving him but the shock was too much...

be careful... better to just spend the 2 cents preventing it then feeling ballsy that you lost your bub...

Do I see tetras? It looks like there are some neon or cardinal tetras in the first pic.

yeh green neon tetras they only grow up to an inch and they get on well togther and dont worry it has a perspex lid on it its such a discret lid that you cant see it in the photos

Just be careful the neons don't pick at your bettas fins, they may not be able to resist the urge forever
