Finalizing Thoughts

been flipping through different ideas for stocking my heavily planted 10g. (thought about killi's, tetras, and almost everyother possability...)

So im thinking dwarf gourami's!

*what kinds am i looking at here? I was thinking the breathtaking powder blues...any suggestions (other color morphs or species?)
*How many gourami's?
*If relativly few gouramis, is there a possability for a small school of some sort of smaller rasboras? (micro rasboras?)

The only problem that you may have is the male gouramis aggression otwards other males and females. I have found that the honey gouramis do not have so much aggression. Also Chocolate gouramis are nice little fish, well sutied for a well planted 10g. With a trio of dwarf gouramis you could go with a school of 5-6 of neons,galaxy rasboras etc...pretty much most extra small schoolers.

I tried two male Dwarf Gouramis, and they were pretty aggressive toward each other. You might just want to try one male to start with. They have the standard red/blue striped one, sun fire, and blues. In addition to that you could definitely have a shoal of smaller tetras, rasboras, etc. Perhaps a handful of peppered corys.

hmmm thanks guys and gals! Is it fairly easy to sex them? I assume males are most likely brighter than females....or are females also just as striking? if females are also vibrant ill most likely go with say 1 male and 2 oe so females?

Ive allways liked chocolate gourami's, but have been told they specificly require a decent to more demanding care, as they NEED a lower and stable ph. I will most likely make a post to further explore these gouramis in the appropriate forum, but if anyone does have any input on this id be more than happy to hear it on this post! thanks again!
