Filtration on 60l

Can anyone recommend a filter that would offer good mecahnical filtration for my 60l tank. At the moment it is filtered by a small rena internal filter which supplies all the necessary biological filtration but the mechanical filtration is very poor and i end up having to hoover the substrate every couple of days. The tank only has 8 danios in it but with a pale sand substrate always seems to look a mess! Any suggestions?!

use a rena XP1 or XP2 its a lot better i used to use the internal ones but i found that i had less cleaning to do when i switched to the externals and you can use more types of media to get the perfect water quality for your fish.
