I have a Marineland Penguin 125 and a Topfin 15 for my 10 gallon tank. I keep hearing that you should change your filter cartrige about once a month or less than that. But its taken only about 2weeks to clog up my filter with algae and green stuff. I had water pouring out around the intake pipe, So I changed it out, I have a Biowheel on my filter so I hope it didn't disrupt the cycling. I still have no NitrAte..and lots of NitrIte.

I've never acually come across this filter as it's not inthe UK. But I've heard it mentioned.
I can't see many filters that need renewed every month. Most of my filter need cleaned every two weeks though
