Filter/air Inlet Behaviour Changed

It seems recently, despite all of the work I do on cleaning the filter and making sure that everything is fine, my air inlet is failing to work. Once upon a time I would add this implement to the top of the internal filter, then there would be a great stream of bubbles.

Lately however, despite all I do there are no bubbles what so ever and if I sort my filter, it will work for about 2 days then slow down dramatically.

Have you done a full clean, including the impeller and the thing the airline attaches to?

If yes, then this is probably an indication that either the motor or the impeller in the filter is about to break.

Is the water flow slowing down, or just the air bubbles?

Took apart all but one of the filter cannisters today and cleaned it, including impell, air feed line - also cut the small tube down a touch to make sure that contact was being made with new tubing between the aeriation line and the air intake bit.

I could not have taken this filter down any more to its base parts.

My first thought was that it was just clogged up with those #19### (insert a few other swears) zebra snail young

In true turd form, I went out, bought a bloody air stone and pump, got back and after weeks of trying, with one last effort, it all started working fine >{
