GuppyGoddess
Fish Herder
Hi,
A few weeks back, a LFS gave me a small fry to try to raise. I put "it" in with my two male guppies. Since then, it's become apparent the fry is a girl. The boys aren't pestering her yet and I'm hoping to she'll get pregnant and I can scoop her out and move her *permanently* to another tank.
Question is, will it be possibly to put her in a 10-gallon tank with a female betta? The betta is relatively passive. I had tried putting her in with other female bettas and they all fought each other BUT the one that is now in that tank didn't get involved in the betta bickering. She is ALONE in the tank again.
When the female guppy gets preg bigger, I'll stick a breeding net into the 10-gallon so she can give birth in there and then I'd like to return her with the female betta and have them live out their lives together (don't want to make any more guppy fry after this first batch).
Thoughts? Advice?
Thanks.
