Nope. I just put them in raw from the can. They strip the shell off easily enough and they rasp on them as they are. They'll all be gone in the morning apart from the shells, so I assume they are able to get through them. They go mad for them as soon as I put them in. Does blanching them make them softer, or do anything else to them thats beneficial.
 
Canned vegetables are usually cooked while in the can. They put the food in the can, seal it up and then boil it to kill anything inside the can. This helps preserve the food. So the peas are probably cooked.
 
I had a Raphael striped catfish that hit 10+; we stopped counting after that point haha. We thought he had died multiple times though. Literally only saw him when we were dismantling the tanks/moving - he scared the crap out of me when he started making noise from inside one of the decor that we had pulled out of the tank to move it easier!
