Is it okay to keep female bettas in a community tank as long as there are no males?

Andy

depends on the girl! You stand more chance than with a male. I would say try it.

What happens if it goes wrong, will she start attacking the other fish?
What fish should i avoid if i do have some females. Things like guppys?

avoid guppys yes.

youll just have to wait and see as its trial and error, every fish acts differently

I think if you are going to do it, then you need at least 5 females, that way they are more interested in each other. Try asking in the betta section, they will be able to give you a more definative answer :good:
