Female Betta

I will see if I can take a photo tomorrow :) as my camera as just packed in and phone one is not that good, but will as my nephew tomorrow to use his phone :) it looks like the one in my photo, same colouring and fins.

The boy in your profile photo is gorgeous! Can't wait to see pics of your new man. :good: :

In my female sorority tank I have loads and loads of Java fern that they all love hanging out in. Also Amazon Frogbit which is a floating plant with long roots. They all love resting in that too. Both plants provide a great deal of coverage for them to hide in.

Your fast at replying or do you know what i'm going to ask :)

Thank you :) just got my note pad out writing all your info down :) a shopping trip coming up I think :)

Again thank's you have been a good help :) back to facebook lol to play my games :) thank's again :) P.S I'm still a one finger typer lol

defo get some plants that's probably why he's up by the filter. they like to rest against something. Mine is doing that right now because his tank is empty.

Before I close for the night will java moss grow good on the floating betta log? thought it might look ok if it grows on it :)

I've never had java moss,- but my java fern has attached to my cave ornaments in the main tank. I'm sure that your lfs will be able to tell you :good: Enjoy your shopping trip!

A update, Since I got the new male lol Betta I only had the lights on each day for 10mins apart from the first 24 hours, it as been coming out from behind the filter the last few days, but to day I had the light on for a hour and it as been swimming around more today :) but tried to feed again with just the flakes I use for my other fish in my main, but not touching it. So hope the betta pro comes soon what I ordered on ebay. Also I went to all the shops in my home town one Aquarium and Pets at home lol and none had the plants in what I wanted and pets at home had none at all? and could not find the betta floating log, so it will be Kendel or from good old ebay. If I need to order the floating, what size are these? as my opening in the tank is not big, as anyone got a photo of these logs so I can take a look:) I want to thank all those that replied :) been a very good help :)

I find e-bay is the best place for most things! I've just had a look for the logs but they only have two in the USA at the moment. They will ship to UK though. They are called Zoo Med floating betta log if you want to google for a UK supplier. The width of the log is about 2" and the length is about 4". Here's some photos for you:

Try leaving your tank light on normally. Your boy should become a lot more active then. :good:

Thank you lilfishie :) I will get some photos up soon, got up this morning and he was swimming around the tank so thought from now on I would keep the light on the same as my main one and it's looking good, keeping fingers crossed :) not seen him go behind the filter yet. Just a little concerned about not feeding him as I'm waiting on the betta food from ebay, keep trying with the flakes I feed my main fish with but not touching then. Now wanting to buy some real plants :)
