I currently own two goldfish, and they usually get fed once every 24 hours, give or take.

Due to arrangements with my partner, i will now not be at home for one or two nights in a row. (no more than two nights).
I was planning on feeding them before i left on night one (5-7pmish) and miss a day, and feed them again when i come back (4-5pmish)
Is this okay? For them to go 24 hours or a little more without food?

Many thanks.

Yes, they'll be fine. Fish can easily go without food for two weeks, so a couple of days is nothing at all to worry about :good:

Agree with Fluttermoth, they should be fine.

Not sure if goldfish can last two weeks without food because they don't have stomaches, therefore, they should be fed at least twice a day. But who knows?

The point is that fish, as cold blooded animals, need far less food than an warm blooded animal.

Goldfish do have stomachs, they've just evolved to have a fairly small one as they are 'grazers' rather than gorge feeders. Apart from very, very tiny fish, or fry, all fish can go a very long time without food before they start to suffer.
