mollies cuz they are hand tame and good for both fresh and saltwater tanks

Platies!! :) they may be moody, but I love them
I'll second that, I love my platies because when I sit on the sofa next to the tank they all come over and spend the time at the end of the tank nearest me until I get up and walk away. Why they do this I don't know, unless they think I am going to feed them. :)

I'd say mine are probably Guppies because of their amazing colours and the way they breed, breed and then breed again. Great little fish. :D

Mollies for me. They eat out of my hand, are extremely outgoing, bigger than other livebearers, and come in so many wonderful colors and varieties. I have lyretail molly fry in my tank right now which will have to be rehomed soon. But dangit, as soon as I get the 55 gallon setup as my new community tank, I'll have mollies in my 30 gallon as a brackish tank.

I would have to say that platies and guppies are my favorite because they have fry so often and are colorful

Ooh, nice to see this thread again :D I have a feeling I'm not ready to answer it yet, though there are so many livebearers out there I haven't tried. Come back in a year's time- or 5  Atm it is probably my phallichthys ticos- beautiful colours, good swimmers etc. The portholes are good too, superb little swimmers, always active. This is a fish that ought to be sold more.
And I am fond of female guppies, don't care so much for the males, but an all-girl community can be very pleasant.
But after Xmas I am hoping to get some heterandrias, and maybe some limia species, so I may change my mind.

I'll add another favourite now: the merry widow. Lovely little fish, always friendly and interested. First to the glass in the morning, gets on with everybody. Why are these never seen in the shops?

Endlers - Just because of the rarity of pure strains. I got 6 females, 5 males atm. They are lovely fisH and its not your typical tropical fish that you would see in any aquarium but its really nice. The pure strain variations are total eye candy. (in a way :p) The hybrids are nice dont get me wrong, but i would NEVER sell them on.
