I didn't mean a free for all, just a hotter topic forum but yea. It's best not to. The mods are already busy enough.
That thing I saw was not a free for all. It was nasty and it was war. No holds barred. Back on topic now before we get the boot for thread jacking. Mods don't like thread jacking.

The 2007 Nancy drew movie I watched was okay. I pictured Nancy Drew to have a long curly 1930-50 style bob so the straight hair was a downer lol. Ned has brown hair, not blonde so that was dumb too lol.

I have never been happy walking by an unexplored book or fish store. But I also see every fish a story of survival and change that we can learn to read.
The only thing better than a tropical fish store is a bookstore and the only thing better than a bookstore is a tropical fish store.

Man, to pick out a favorite is just about impossible. I could easily pick out authors but not individual. As far as authors:
Robert Heinlein -- Future History and just about anything else.
Issac Asimov -- Foundation and Robot series.
Ann MaCaffery -- Dragon Riders of Pern series along with others.
Frank Herbert -- Dune series

Off the top of my head would be two book quotes by Heinlein:
"TINTAAFL": There is no thing as a free lunch. He used TINTAAFL often
His definition of love: "When another person's happiness and well being are more important to you than your own."

These books are made for reading,
and that's just what I'll do.

That singer is 82 years old now.

Have you ever walked into a library, looked around, and been humbled at the idea you have barely begun to learn, no matter how long you've been at it? It's great.

Check this poem from the 9th century, by an unknown Irish monk. Can you time travel and relate to this guy?

Pangur Bán

Translation from Irish by Robin Flower.

I and Pangur Bán, my cat,
'Tis a like task we are at;
Hunting mice is his delight,
Hunting words I sit all night.

Better far than praise of men
'Tis to sit with book and pen;
Pangur bears me no ill-will,
He too plies his simple skill.

'Tis a merry thing to see
At our tasks how glad are we,
When at home we sit and find
Entertainment to our mind.

Oftentimes a mouse will stray
In the hero Pangur's way;
Oftentimes my keen thought set
Takes a meaning in its net.

'Gainst the wall he sets his eye
Full and fierce and sharp and sly;
'Gainst the wall of knowledge I
All my little wisdom try.

When a mouse darts from its den,
O how glad is Pangur then!
O what gladness do I prove
When I solve the doubts I love!

So in peace our tasks we ply,
Pangur Ban, my cat, and I;
In our arts we find our bliss,
I have mine and he has his.

Practice every day has made
Pangur perfect in his trade;
I get wisdom day and night
Turning darkness into light.
