Yes, you want to do a 90% waterchange to get close to your tap's pH again. How are you doing your nitrate test? You have to shake the bottle for 30 seconds to mix the chemicals inside it (I think it's bottle #2) and you must mix the test tube for 60 seconds I think, I don't have the instructions in front of me, and you have to wait 5 minutes for the results to develop.

it is very had to describe the colour of the water though, it is definatly not yellow ( 0ppm) but i wouldnt say it is completly orange (5ppm) the top of the water inside the test tube always looks darker then the rest I could post a picture during my next test but it may be difficult to see.

Well it doesn't matter then, nitrate is low...
