Well my brother woke me up this morning to tell me that one of my goldfish is on the carpet!!! So I run into the living room, hopeing it was still alive, course its not. It was my friggin cat, I want to strangle him right now! He must of scooped the poor thing out of the breeding net (had it in there because it was getting beat up, was actaully starting to get better) in the small space behind the tank. The poor goldfish was all bloody and had guts coming out of it, was also missing its eyes (this was a telescope  ). There are scales EVERYWHERE in the breeding net, same with shredded fins, all over the carpet...I can't believe it. I should of known this would happen, I've had a slow danio and a small cory go missing in the past, there was water all over the sides of the tank so we assumed the cat did it but had no way to prove it. Well now I know it was him! Little turd is hiding at the moment, and he BETTER stay hiding.

Tie the cats legs together so it cant move properly for a few days

I know how you feel :-( A few months ago I found my cat enjoying a good chomp on my stunning metalic purple plakat male betta. I was so angry words cannot describe.
So know the feeling :/ Sorry to hear - hope you can forgive you pussy cat soon - I forgave mine in 2 minutes (though I was still upset) - it was my fault for not having a lid on the tank :X

Youre kidding about tying the cat up right? I suuuurely hope you are. A tank with an open lid/space infront of a cat is like danging raw meat infront of a dog.

Accidents happen =( I boiled a fish once.

If a cat ate one of my fish it would be an ex cat as soon as i could catch it (if the fish hadnt taken its paw off already anyway), i have no great love of furry creatures and view them as nothing more than pests to be honest so tying its legs together would be getting off lightly.

You boiled a fish? As in one you were keeping that was alive? How would you accidently do that? -_-

Tie a tea cloth round it's waste it's really funny because it can't balance and falls over- Also rip the cat apart and tell him what goes around comes around :hey:

Well I boiled two frogs once - years back. I had a cr*ppy heater and the thing broke. I awoke to a very humid room - only to see steam rising from the tank ! Lifted the lid and the two poor frogs were floating on top :X
But guess what - they survived !

What's that saying about a frog and boiling water ? ........

:-( paw goldfish

sorry, bad occasion for a joke

poor feeshy :-(

and hopefully....

poor *treatment* of the cat

thats natural behaviour and your cat shouldnt be punished for it. my cats did that to me once and i couldnt stay mad at them...they're just too cute!
