External Leakage

Bought an All Pond Solutions external, moved house and set the tank back up yesterday with planting substrate, play sand, and external. This afternoon a puddle has been discovered and water is drilling from the side if the filter. It must be a seal issue, I'm guessing there's not enough grease or something. My question is, what do I do? I think I'll be ringing them in the morning and complaining because a brand new filter shouldn't leak but in the meantime? luckily there's no fish in there at the moment, only plants, so I've turned it off but it's still hooked up so that don't make any difference I don't think. When I disconnect it, how do I do that? Do I have a bucket to empty excess water into or something?

I get this with my tetratec sometimes (same shape as the APS filter), just try a little vasaline around the seal then try re-seating it, I found with my tetratec if is not put on level it leaks. Never had the same problem with the APS one though.

like star says vaseline or
silicone grease around the seal
should help it seal with is been
sat with no water or pressure
the seal might of shrunk this will
swell it back up again

Thanks guys vaseline seems to have done the job - no more leaks!
