Hi

Check this thread I asked a similar question about a diffuser and was told that an external reactor would be better.

Thread

In the thread there are links to a german ebay site that sells the reactors, I have now purchased one but have not set it up. Others have also purchased it and are very happy.

Or you have the option of the Deltec reactors.

Thanks

Dave,

Just wondering how you would go about detaching this when its up and running? From the pics it would seem that it has to be taken out when you clean the filter its attached to, doesn't that make it tricky? I guess you could always use the eheim inline tap connectors, but they are relatively expensive at around 8-10quid each and you'd need two?

Cheers

Hi Sam

Very good question, so far I have not got mine connected, have attached it to the tank but have not got round to plumbing it in.
I think JamesC maybe able to answer this as he has it already plumbed in and running. It would be good to know also.

Cheers

Not quite sure why it would be a problem. The reactor is placed after the filter so really will need very little in the way of maintenance, if any. How do you clean your filter? I just flip the switch on the top of the filter to remove the pipes and then take the filter away for cleaning leaving all the pumbing behind. I can't really see why having the reactor inline will make any difference. Just like having an inline heater or UV unit. I suppose if when you clean your filter you also remove all the tubing as well then it would be a pain - do people do that?

Hi! Thank you for your replies! I am just thinking how to attach rector to the filter? I have Juwel external canister, also condidering upgrading it. What do I need to do to get proper seal? THANKS
