A disaster.

I intentionally went first this in the morning and sent out of my fish in the mail.

Apparently they didn't scan my box to send out until 5:30! So now it's in a city three hours away from the ship-to city. It would get there until 10:00AM tomorrow.

Will they survive? I mean, I'm worried about the oxygen. I put just enough water to cover them, and then X2 for air. But even there, it wasn't a ton of air, because my bags were so thin!

I'm just in pieces. There was foams, lots of newspaper for insulation, and Styrofoam peanuts, so I hope the temperature doesn't get to them.

I can't say the answer to your question, but generally when posting fish the best thing to do is post them out as late in the day as you can.

Hi. You say they were sent Express, which delivery service? It's always best to use an experienced fish courier when mailing live stock. APC overnight are excellent. I hope eveything thing works out and they get to their destination.

Dean.

Hi. Then you're looking at the wrong site, because below is a picture of the styrofoam box my Betta was delivered on 24, April 2012. The box clearly stated the contents was livestock.

I was looking at this, is this not it?

My link

I have no idea if that is the correct site, if it is then the only explanation I can think of is they may only deal with businesses that mail livestock/animals and not the public. I personally haven't used them to mail any livestock, I did howvever order and receive my Betta from a breeder who only sends APC Overnight as the picture clearly shows.

Yeah spooky indeed. It is the correct website, I just checked the tracking consignment number. I guess they don't deal with the public :/

If you bagged the fish with at last half the bag being full of air, he will be fine for several days as long as he doesn't get too hot or too cold. This time of year, in the northern hemisphere, that should not be a problem.
