we've an eheim 2322 thermofilter we got 2nd hand with a tank we bought a while back. we never had any sort of primer/starter for it, the only way to get it to start is by forcing the siphon (stick the inlet pipe over the end of the other filter that's running!). would be nice if we could get hold of a replacement primer/starter for it.

thought i'd have a look today, first port of call is to find the ref no for the part i need so we can try and track one down, found this which gives the part numbers for the model (need to open the pop up windows, there's two different ones) but i can't work out which bit it is we need. can somone help!

hi wiggly one
from looking at the dealers cataloge or spares the only difference between a thermo filter and a normal pro is the main body of the cannister
all other parts are the same. I think you need part number 7445190 see 1st pic (pump cover)

i'm sure it'd got the round cover on? how does that prime/start it though? maybe we're just doing it wrong!! lol

not sure but i think you push it in to start the vacuum.
maybe someone with a pro2 can help on that bit.
at least you have a full parts list now :good:

hmmmm i never knew that, of course Ian might well do so it could well just be me gettign confused, i'll check with him tonight though, thansk Wolfy :good:

Yep you have to pump the round bit a few times. It can become quite stiff though. My cannisters are in difficult positions to push down on the button, so I just give the hose a suck!

interesting, i asked Ian and he said he thought that bit was solid so he'd never tried pumping it, will have a look at it tonight.

well at least we've not got any parts missing which is a good thing, rubbish if the buttons so stiff it's unusable though

I have a 2126 thermo eheim and I just need to push the centre circular button on the top down once and it sucks in the water. The button is quite stiff, but I have never needed to push it down more than once.
