Egg-Stream Closeup

thanks everybody . there are a few white eggs but most of them seem fertile :good: chillipepper if i was doing it seriously id try to get unrelated fish ideally.

well surprise surprise another failiure lol. but then its not uncommon with discus. i know a feel whos pair of red turqs took 15 attempts before they got it right.

It is frustrating sometimes, I am leaving eggs with my Rokeil pair, they get to free swimming and just abandon them, but I think its more to do with the big texas trying to take over the parenting duties

yes it can be frustrating. but it is all good learning for when i get more tanks set up and move into serious breeding attempts.

Are you getting 30g's? for your pairs.Have you checked out breeding and gentics. in http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showthread.php?t=64729 its helped me. it will be interesting to see what the fry will look like from your pairs.

Best of luck.

it will be quite a while yet before i go into breeding properly , but yes when i do i will have seperate dedicated breeding tanks etc .
