I've started up a "nano" Eclipse 6 gallon system and would like some decent lighting so that I can grow some of the more brilliant coral, etc. The 6gal Eclipse tank has about 12 lbs of live rock and I want to ditch the low-lighting situation that I'd be stuck with if I simply keep the manufacturer's built-in flourescent lighting. I've done some searching on the net and can't find much in the way of retrofit lighting for this tank, and would appreciate any suggestions. I figure something around the 35W range, actinic lighting would be ideal for my "nano reef". Thanks in advance for any insight.

Got it -- I found this article to be very useful in starting up a nano reef, specifically for the Eclipse 6 gallon. My LFS has a very impressive nano reef (6 gallon Eclipse) on their front counter, and they're not doing anything special with it (no mods, all stock configuration). From what I've been told and have read in several articles, the Eclipse system will support hardy corals and invertebrates out of the box, so I'm going to hold off on any lighting mods (other than upgrading to a power-glo bulb, same wattage, etc.). Thanks again.
