No, I would not have more than one male, with one or two females. Gourami males are territorial, some species as bad as cichlids in this respect, others less so. But it is a trait of the anabantids. So depending upon the species, more than one male usually means considerably more space than one would need for comparably-sized fish without the territorial nature. The Honey Gourami would be a better choice for a standard 20g (the high), though two males may well scrap particularly if a female is present and spawning occurs. Or one of the more rare and smaller species, depending upon your water parameters.
The other non-related issue to keep in mind is the condition of Dwarf Gourami. It is not a good idea to buy these from stores unless you know the source (meaning, where the fish were bred and raised) of the fish. The iridovirus is not something you want, and this is still found in this species; there is no cure, and some ichthyologists believe it can spread to other species. Reliable breeders should have fish that are healthy.
