Drop Checker From Hong Kong

I have read a few things from this forum and other places around the net that the drop checkers are ok from Hong Kong but the solution you get with them is not good, so should I use that solution or should I bin the solution and buy the AE Design 4 dKH Solution with Bromo Blue 100ml from aqua essentials?

Was thinking of doing this anyway, but has anyone had the solution with Bromo Blue already mixed, is this stuff good to use?

The stuff supplied is useless in my experience, use your own 4dKH solution, and if you have an API kit the standard PH kit (with a blue solution) is bromothymol blue.

I have a standard API ph test kit but it does not say whats inside the bottle, but its not blue its kind of orange, i read somewhere on this forum that you can find bromothymol in low ph test kits.
If your right then you have saved me some cash!

the bromo blue supplied with the DC is good to use, and yes it is found in low range pH test kits.
4dKH isn't usually supplied as you are told to ue tank water so you will still have to buy this or make your own.
