How do you get the wood to sink mine always floats

Weigh it down with a rock in your tank. (Like I’m doing now) Or, you can get a bucket and rip tie it to the side. (The handle works best) I’ve used this method and it’s very effective.

I just leave wood to soak in a bucket of water till it sinks. One piece took 3 weeks.
