How long does it take for driftwood to sink as I found 2 beautiful pieces in my back yard and are soaking right now

How long does it take for driftwood to sink as I found 2 beautiful pieces in my back yard and are soaking right now

it really depends on the density of the wood. some bits will never sink.

if a month, or so, does not do the trick. you might have to try some weights.
