Driftwood Sprayed With Insecticide

I have some spare unused driftwood which I have sprayed with insecticide last week due to a minor infestation of cockroaches. Now I would like to use this for a new tank but unsure if its safe or not. Would soaking it in water get rid of the insecticide and if so how long will it take?

Wouldn't chance it in a million years. Buy some more. It's cheaper than dead fish

yeah, wood is so porous you would never ever be able to get all the insecticide out, especially something that will kill cockroaches
