Can anyone give me any info on Parapteronotus hasemani (dragon knife). I saw one and I'm interested in getting one, however I can't seem to find much info on it. Can anyone tell me the maximum size, tank mates, pH, temperature, diet and habitat?

Really nice fish! I looked these up a while ago, like all knives they are big fish so make sure you have a big tank from the start. Width is important as they can get upto 40cm if memory serves. So your looking at 2 foot wide minimum ideally 30 inches or more but thats hard to find unless you get a dedecated custom made tank.

As for tank mates your looking at stuff big enough not to be eaten as they will take a lot and they have big big mouths.

They are not really a fish to take on lightly so make sure your ready to commit to something like this :)

My 350 should be big enough then. I've got a few SA cichlids, bichirs, reed fish and a couples plecos so I don't think it's too much of a worry. I do have an oscar that's been a bit territorial lately though, so could it hold its own? I do have a few places for it to hide as well.

Oh and there's also a jade goby in there.

I love these fish where are they for sale?

350 liter or 350 gallon? Is it a Trigon 350?
