Dragon Goby In A 90 Gallon Freshwater Aquarium?

I have seen Dragon Gobies at a LFS in freshwater tanks, and I have done research on them and found
that they are originally brackish fish in the wild that they are sometimes found in freshwater areas as well
and that if they were slowly acclimated to freshwater and became used to the lack of silinity, they would be just fine
being in a freshwater environment.

Well, being that they were living, bred, and born in freshwater at my LFS, they should already be well used to living
in freshwater..

I was always fascinated by these fish and wanted one, but wouldn't get one since they can reach a maximum of 15 inches
and I only had a 29 gallon at the time.




I have also heard of Green Spotted Puffers being successfully kept in freshwater.

I was curious as to if they could be kept in my freshwater tank with the fish that I already have?

I have a 90 gallon that houses a Blood Parrot, Turquoise Severum, Sail-fin leopard Pleco, and a Cobalt Blue Crayfish.

Would a Dragon Goby and Green Spotted Puffer be okay with these tank mates, or fresh water at that?
I'm not familiar or experienced with these species of fish.

im not sure about the dragon but in my experience puffers should be kept in a species only tank.

Why is that? are they aggressive?
I have heard they can be fin nippers.

Anybody still following this? I haven't gotten much of an answer especially on the dragon goby. can anyone else put in some input?

I recently sold my bracksih fish and I kept 2 dragon gobes and one reen spot puffer for nearly a yr with no issues nipping wise from puffer.

what I would say is that i bought my gobies from a freshwater set up. I didn;t believe them to be freshwater so acclimatised them to brackish from the start and had them in quite strong salinity. The improvement in the fish was ten fold and the vioet colours came out

Personally I wouldnt keep them in freshwater. Maybe pm Dr Neale Monks he is the expert on these fish.

They are great fish bythe way and loook beter the bigger they get. easy to feed aslo
