Dose Anyone Know What These Fish Are ?

hi dose any one what these fish are please i got 3 of them VERY cheap thay are about them !
one is about 6inc long the other 2 are about 4inc long
want to kno i am caring for them right

i'd say Gold Gourami although it looks very stressed and rather underweight

cant see how its under wait cose thay eat like mad i have 3 of them now 1 is large and look great the other 2 look thin trying to bulk them up try and get a better photo in a min

+1 hungry looking and stressed gold gourami. They are quite aggressive and territorial, so if they are in a tank which is smaller than 4ft, it is almost definite that the large one is bullying the smaller ones quite a lot.

that one looks better, i'm thinking Kat is right that the bigger one is bullying the smaller two, what size tank do you have?

They are Snakeskin Gourami/Trichogaster pectoralis, one of my fav gouramis.

Although easy to care for and they have a lot of personality, they can reach a large size (rarely growing up to just over 9"/23cm) and any thing smaller than 200L, I would consider too small for them.

no thay all get on very well but what ever i feed them thay clear in secs feel like i should feed more but dont want to over feed them
trying to work out what would be the best thing to do my sliver dollars now just eat the wavers and leave the other food now

i feed 1x cube daphnia and 2x cubes tropical quintet and ever 3 days fresh cucumber

is this ok would there be anything better ?

It is very tempting to feed large Gouramis such as Snakeskins more however they are extremely greedy so don't!

Ideally you want to feed them, 50% Flake Food and 50% other foods (frozen foods, cucumbers...)
