Have a 33 gallon tank, with three danios. Recently two of the danios stopped swimming around. Normally they are very active & are constantly swimming around at fast rates. For about a week now, they barely move, just hang in the water & they stopped eating. Sometimes they attempt to eat, but give up. The other danio is acting normally. Just seperated the two danios out into a hospital tank & added some melafix. Not quite sure what's wrong with them or what to do to make them better. Any ideas?

Tank Stats: Ammonia: 0, Nitrites, 0, ph normal. Water change done weekly.

Other tank buddies - 6 tiger barbs, 2 green tiger barbs, 2 dwarf gouramis, 1 guppie, 1 gold barb, two small chinese algea eaters. (All fishies get along, haven't noticed any of them bothering the danios)

Lethargy and inappetence are common symptoms of many diseases, so further investigation is needed. it could be an Ectoparasite infestation. Check 2-3 fish for parasites or gill problems, or it could be an Early stage of bacterial disease.

issolating the fish is a good first step.
now raise the temp to to around 82 as this will speed up the fishes metabolisum.
all you can do atm is wait and see if they improve/deteriorate and then take the appropriate course of action.
