I have 5 tiger barbs in my 20 Gallon long tank. I dont know what fishes can be added with tiger Barbs. Tiger barbs are semi-aggressive. I want some hard fish and maximum growth size of 4-5inches.

please tell me the species and the amount i can add!

Thank you so much!!

a pair of kribs would work as they are semi aggressive aswell.

I have this same question as well, would kribs be good with BA tetra and a red-tailed shark too? Also the tiger barb are known to be fin nippers, they won't bother the kribs?

i've kept rainbow shark, zebra danio, neon tetra, bala shark, batik loach, dojo loach, kuhli loach with tiger barbs at different times through keeping tiger barbs. if you have a large enough aquarium that has enough areas for each species to claim their own hey should be be fine. tiger barbs also seem to keep to themselves if kept in a shoal of 5-7

I've had Tetras and guppies with my tigers for a year now, and they are fine. The tigers are very aggressive, but only to each other. They did nibble off a guppy's tail after 10 days of not being fed (we were on vacation) but the fish survived and regrew, and there are once again no problems.
That being said, 20 gallons doesn't give other fish much room to avoid the barbs in. I'd suggest loaches, danios, or some more aggressive tetras.

That's interesting, I think some groups of tigers are more vicious than others, I've had 2 groups over the years and the first group could be kept with almost any fish, however my second group of 12 which I have now seems very aggressive.
