Just came across this article about the difference between planaria and detritus worms I think it's worth pointing out as most info out there claims planaria is caused by overfeeding and dirty tanks where in fact it isn't.
Planaria apparently is a carnivores pest that would feed even on small fry, shrimplets, weak fish and many similar stuff.
Detritus worms are more likely the ones we see wiggling around in dirty fry tanks, shrimp tanks or generally tanks with high organic waste caused by other factors like lack of maintenance, insufficient filtration, inproper feeding, etc...
