looks like a micro chip for an expensive fish, possibly an arowna?

Did it fall out?

MUAH! I knew it was some pet thing, anywho yeah maybe your aro came from a lake so they tagged it so they can find it again. ,or maybe I stalked the aro until I found the chip and inserted the chip inside of him and then wanted to know what he was up to! :shifty:

whats up with you and stalking cyber ninja lol microchips are inserted to asian arowanas like greens and reds because they are an endangered species in the wild and any asian arowana without one means it has been taken out the wild illegally and the owner would be finned

Actually they tag alot of arrowanas when importing so that if they are released into the wild they can be traced. It also acts to distinguish individual fish so they can keep a tabs on the number of them being imported in to the trade. There may be other uses but these are the ones i am aware of.
