Does Anybody Else Keep There Betta In A Community Tank?

I'v had a Betta in almost all of my community tanks. I had a 29 gallon community tank set-up with 5 male Bettas in it before and they did fine together.

Whilst I realise that it is possible to keep a male betta in community, you still have to be aware that they are territorial and therefore can change their behaviour quickly. Its just a case of keeping an eye on them and acting if needed.

Rattie - have you still got those 5 together? If so, it may be beneficial to people to see the setup if you have some piccies. I think it should be pointed out that this would be the exception rather than the rule though, and isn't really a safe way to keep them. They would have probably been under stress a lot of the time due to the territorial issues.

Gonna keep my eye on mine!

He is great so far and swims around like all the other fish and is very active and curious! I think he is the fish with the most character I have had in the 20 years I have been keeping fish!

my betta was in a com tank and totaly fine...i guess it all depends on how placid you betta is my one "cloud" is very calm and kind to all the other fish :)
