Dodgy Ammonia Test Kit Warning

I have an API test kit. It's, like.... 3 years old.... still works perfectly. ^^; Except I think that maybe it's giving me weird nitrIte readings. But, then again, that tank is still maturing. I put mature media in there. So, Idk. I wonder if maybe there are problems with the new test kits? ^^; Some people are saying that their new API test kits aren't working.... Well, I'll keep my old one then, I guess.

Well, anyways; that's lame! I hope that you can fix the problem. ^^:

My Ammonia level was down to about 3ppm after the water changes, but yesterday it was down to about 1ppm, so I guess the cycle is working in spite of (or maybe because of) the ammonia overload it had for 24 hours.

I'll add 0.5ml of ammonia today (I'm guessing that will take it up to about 3ppm again) and see if it drops again over the next day.

I got the Interpret test kit too, Tablet, used it yesterday and it seemed ok, well it gave the readings i thought it might, started my main cycle yesterday (added first ammo to the water) so im going to take a reading this morning to find out!
