Wheww.......... all that emergancy section stuff, even though it is odd having discus in a cycling tank, they has lived though it, and even i'm not completely sure how, they did any suggestion for next steps?

you say they've lived through the cycle, does that mean your cycle is done then? if that's the case it must be some sort of record.

until ammonia and nitrite are steady at 0 the tank isn't cycled. this usually takes several weeks, often a couple of months. I don't think you're out of the woods just yet.

Yep. Even badly stressed fish will usually get hungry enough to eat eventually - it doesn't necessarily mean the stress is gone. Keep up the water testing for at least a week, preferably a couple. If you hold steady at 0 ammonia and nitrite through that, then you're probably good to go
