Disaster! Left The Hose Running!

Did a water change this morning on my 150g tank

Left a hose in to refill and I forgot!!! prob running for about an hour!! garage is flooded it missed the electrics thankfully but got all my wifes material for dressing the weddings!! nightmare

The fish are alive but won;t be impressed and I;m hoping fingers crossed it won;t harm them

the temps 19 not good but could be worse had it been winter time, the red bellies don;t seem to bad

she has boxes of coloured fabric for tying bows around wedding chair covers, they;re all a bit wet but the suns shining on them as we speak

shes back about 4pm should be well done by then lol

Unlucky mate, the lucky bit is it's in the garage, the unlucky bit is getting wifes bits wet. To be honest this is one of my greatest fears, my tank is in the lounge and my wife would definitely be up in arms if I flooded the lounge

I've always considered a mop & bucket an important part of my fishroom gear collection. Last time I can remember doing that was just outside the garage, causing a minor bit of flooding inside.

Luckily the only thing that got wet that might be damaged was a large bag of rock salt. It's one giant 70 pound rock now. A small creek across my basement floor is a regular occurrence, it's like a monthly high tide or something. My wife still doesn't buy that one.

Hurry, get that stuff dry!

Would add enough dechlorinator to the tank to treat the volume of water it holds. By overfilling, the new water may have diluted the amount of treated water considerably. Would have resulted in large amount of untreated water entering the aquarium unless water for changes is pretreated and stored in tub.

I've never used dechlorinator so don;t have any in

they look fine eat really well last night
