Soooo was cycling my AC110. Even seeded it with media from my AC50 (had two running on my 36). Found yesterday that I had a bloom and the media bag from the 50 was covered in hairy looking gunk. Cleaned it all up nice, changed 75% of the water, haven't really added any ammonia (1ml to a 20 gallon tank) in the last two days, yet it still isnt clearing. Can it be TOO hot (the water)? I dont have a thermometer in there but I'd guess it's at least 85 in there. Just not sure why it is having issues and I never had issues doing 2 other fishless cycles.

For more info, it's hanging around 0.25ppm. I definitely have nitrites and nitrates as well. Should I just get over it and dose it back up to 4ppm until my nitrites start clearing? I'll be putting the AC110 and a completely cycled AC50 on the new tank, so I can probably get away with it being most of the way cycled.

pH was pegging the low scale pH so I know it hasn't crashed.

Fair enough, I'll redose now and pay more attention to nitrites. I'm ready to get this thing moving! Thank you!
