It's 31 minutes for me for according to google maps. That's about right depending on how fast my husband drives :)

it's also the only shop I've found which sells API Tap Water Conditioner.
My two closest lfs are pets at home; 7 minutes away from me, maidenhead aquatics is 14 minutes away from me, which is cool :)

It sells 16oz API Tap Water Conditioner?

Makes me realise how spoilt I'm for shops round me. Within 20 minutes I've at least 3 pets at home, a maidenhead aquatics and about 5 independent shops.

I didn't realise P&H sold API TWC. But I hardly ever go in there.

I have an MA 5 minutes away and a better one 20 minutes away.
A P&H 15 minutes away, and 3 more within half an hour (though one is the tiniest P@H I've ever seen)
My favourite shop 25 mins away
A fish-selling general pet shop (but I've not been in for ages) 15 mins away and another branch 20 mins away.
A shop specialising in koi but also sells a few tropicals almost next door to the last one
The shop in the link 30 mins away
A shop 25 mins away which used to be good but since the daughter took over has gone downhill
A department in a garden centre about 20 mins away which used to be my favourite till it changed hands and the new owner sacked all the staff and brought in new. The man that used to be the manager is now joint owner of my favourite shop :)

Absolute aquatics is also near me, bu I'm unsure if they sell kuhli loaches.

Waay too expensive  Its like they are only for "rich" people.

Yes, usually the rich businessmen will buy them. Some will buy the Arowana and Stingray.
But now I realized tht I dont like fish tht get too big.
Small fish and shrimps are cute.
I also like the Mexican dwarf crayfish.

At my place I can get a 2-2.5" size Discus for GBP 7-8.
For size 3-3.5", I can get for GBP 14-15.
The quality is ok.

Same here, but I'm unsure about tetras. Veiltail betas are £5.99, halfmoons, dumbos and plakats are £15.99.
I have a LFS tucked out of the way in the high street, they know nothing about betta's and price them on how good they look and make up names. For example, they had a very red Koi which they were selling for £15 under the title "Hellboy". I bought a drangonscale-rosetail for £8, he was black and silver and looked in bad shape. I took him home, put him in a clean tank with plants and all the rest of it and fed him a decent diet with regular water changes and within days the silver on him turned a stunning baby blue and the black turned into a very deep navy. He's a stunning fish, got an absolute steal! Prices are very similar here on the south coast, my dad bought a dumbo for £15, a crown tail for £10 and got a result with a gorgeous double tail for £5. I'm not sure that Betta's are massively popular in my area of the UK. The closest breeder to me is around 80 miles away

That's that's.. Weird.. My lfs is not doing that :/ Although my lfs sells veiltails for 5.00 GPB and other more special ones for 15.99 GPB.

I have a few around me, this certain one specialises in reptiles, but sells fish too. The betta's are in the dirtiest little vase looking things, sulking at the bottom. Everywhere sells vieltails lol, theres a grim fish store about a 15 minute drive from my house and he tries to charge £20 for a vieltail lol

I hate it when people put poor bettas in those small ugly and dirty vases. Its disgusting. Really, £20 for a veiltail? Oh my

I know, I know! And yeah, the guy that sells the expensive vieltails is an eastern European fella. Fairly sure that he breeds guppy's and imports a few betta's to make a few quid on. I dont think many people round my way know much about betta's, as I said before, so i think he manages to get away with it

I suppose he imports the bettas, that's why he puts them on as expensive :/ Imports always a bit pricey..
