Cycling A Fish Tank

hi all, im about to cycle my 100 litre unknown brand fish tank, got it for free anyway i went to my lfs and bought nutrafin cycle (updated version) (i was planing to get safe start as it was recommended by indigoj, but they didnt have it for some reason) so i went for the plan B of nutrafin cycle. Wasthis a good decision and does it make water clean, healthy for fish, and ammonia, ph, nitrite, nitrate safe for the fish too.

As recommended on this forum those types of products dont generaly work too well the best way is to go 100% fishless and just use bottled ammonia which you can get from most hardware stores it needs to be the pure stuff so it is clear and really stinky. If you want to speed this up a bit nab some of your filter sponges from your other fish tank and it will help establish it I did this with my new tank and Ive got through the ammonia phase in about a week just waiting for the nitrite to drop now but hoping that will take maybe a week from now with a bit of luck. If this is the tank for your krib breeding experiment wait for a while to add them in because they will suffer from bad water.
