hi, im looking to get a new tank, (just the tank, as i will probably make the stand myself to save a few ££)
i have a had a look at aquariums Ltd, but there must be more companies out there that people know of, so can i hear them so i can do some research.

they need to be large tanks 4x2x2. not little 60cm things.

thanks all.

nd aquatics...clearseal

the clearseal ones i like, but i cant find anywhere that does the larger tanks. i want a 48x24x24 but most places go to about 48x18x15 and thats it, i know clearseal make them.

yeah i know they make the tanks but clearseal dont see to customers directly (i believe)
im trying to find other shops that do sell the larger tanks, and im struggling.

nd aquactics.

great service and nice tanks

they also deliever them if you need them too.

Clearseal tanks are about as waterproof as sieves after a few years use IME, and the seams on my ND aquatics tank are going after 18 months use...

4X2X2 is a standard size, so you should be able to pick up a good generic tank of that size at a decent FS cheaper than custom, and loads should be available on the likes of Aquarists Classifieds if you don't mind second hand :good: Do you want tanks delivered, or are you happy to travel to collect them? If the latter, how far can you go?

All the best

I think for a 4x2x2 boss would make and deliver a tank for less (or there abouts) than ND is just for the tank, although i got mine a few years back so prices may have changed

im fine with second hand and im after the cheapest option really. if i can get one delivered and its resonably cheap then fair play but if i can get a decent second hand one then even better. i dont mind if it has a cabnet or not, (i can easily make one) . i had a look on aquarist classifieds but didnt come up with much.
i can travel about 40 miles from Dorking in surrey

I can firmly recommend ND Aquatics, great tanks, search it on this site and you'll see pics of Mark's awesome Cichlid tank..I would take pics of mine, but the house is a construction site right now with the tank covered up. Anyway, they can make it custom size for a very good price and deliver.

There was a guy in the classifieds from Dorking selling a 6footer for a very cheap price, but that was a while back.

Otherwise ebay always turns up bargains.
