Cuban Delight

Yeah P@H are a pain, I was in one today looking at hamsters for the littleun and asked what wood they do and the guy said "We have the dry stuff you have to put in bleach before you put it in your tank!" My word! Yeah a good idea if you wanna poison your fish! :S Then he said "We have loads of bits in the tanks, they used to have plants on them when they came in but they all died, dunno why, we have our lights on for ages!" lol I couldn't be bothered to tell him what he was doing wrong, this branch was supposed to be an aquatics specialists lol.

Thanks for the comments, glad you like them, if your after anymore wood fir yours I'll have some spare soon.

Oh that would have been awesome but now that I have a jungle I don't have space - maybe one or two twig bits whenever you have them spare thankyou :D

Hey Stevo tanks look brilliant!

We share the same taste in pictures - I have the 6 drop goal sequence also (not above my tank though!)

Lol did you get yours from John Lewis too?

Thanks for the comments ppl. :)

Mine too, was a wedding present from my old man, lol was the only thing I added when we registered lol.

Well after spending 6 hours messing with this and Eden this evening I got the new wood and plants in both tanks. Needs a few more Crypts in this one as the base of the new wood is much smaller, but once they're in and the java fern narrow has picked up after it's recent hack it'll look pretty good hopefully. Pics tomorrow as the lights were off by the time I finished.

#41#### that was a good idea - all I got was the things that she told me that I wanted!

Hurry up with the pics - can't wait to see it!!!

Here's the pic's guys and gals, I moved all the old wood out and took off all the plants, had a major hack of the ferns and mosses and split up a few plants to get more out of them. The fern does need to grow back in again after I removed half of it and it should fill back up to the surface like before, well I hope so as I need the height on the left. I also need some more Crypts as the foot print of the old wood was larger and now the bottom left looks a bit sparse, I did add two pots of Balansae but it didn't go far so I think I might get some more of them. I added Peacock Moss, Weeping Moss and Fissidens Fontanus to the wood so once that's grown in I'm hoping it will hang down from all the wood right across the scape. Sorry it's a bit pic heavy I got a few extra shots and thought I'd add them. Oh and there's some Anubias Bonsai growing emersed on the redmoor coming out of the top of the tank now too, just hoping it does well so fingers crossed.

That is incredible! I am jealous too!

really like this tank Steve, i bet you're really chuffed with yourself. That last pic is better than you tank pic in the TOTY comp. Flickr really does upscale pics well.
