Hi, I'm new to the saltwater tank hobby. I just started the tank a couple of weeks ago, and have only a bunch of live rock and live sand with a single damselfish and a crab.
The other day I noticed something odd next to my crab. Apparently about 4 legs fell off!! I read that hermit crabs will do this when stressed (I've only had him for 3 full days). However, I also read that too many legs could mean that it would eventually die. They are not the main claws, just the thin pointy legs. Not sure if that makes a difference.
Anyone have some good advice?
