Could I Have Betten The Filteration Process?

so i first started out keeping fish in a 57 litre aquirium i got

1x dojo loach
4xguppies
3xdanios
4xminnows

i did regular water changes and i cheaked my ammonia. it was actually blue! after five mins! i was amazed that i had been keeping these fish for 2 months with 0 deaths ? in blue ammonia tests! i recheached and tested for everything my stats were as in picture

my p.h lvl was low so i decided to search up online and i seen that when p.h is low the ammonia produced by fish turns to ammonium wich is none toxic to fish so i said #129### ? but why isnt filter getting that ammonium under controll so i changed filter foams ect and i got some cycled bacteria off the pet store a week passed and its even blue'r still no deaths ? i decided to do more reading up on ammonium and turns out that ammonium can not be processed with the filter bacteria.... so its comes to my attention that having blue ammonium for 2 months did not kill my fish at all..


after all that i decided to get crushed coral sand as substract and change form gravel so i also wanted to see was my ph the problem the sand also raise's the ph alot so today i changed everything over took out fish put in sand waited for 3/4 hours and put fish back in when i was doing change i left in about 10% of the water to help the tank cycle as the ammonium would change to ammonia after the rais in ph right ? so after school today i came home did water change and tested and amazingly my ammonia was gone down to about 2.0ph ( high becuase i left some of old water in tank with very high ammonia) and amazingly i got a nitrate and nitrite reading aswell (meaning i am now in a fish in cylce)(but the bacteria has already formed i think processing the ammonia) this is the test results the next day

which leaves me to beleave that when keeping a low ph will process any ammonia to ammonium causeing no affect to ure fish..please leave a comment telling me if u think this is will work in a non filterd tank

i have no researched this but im 90% sure it doesnt as if it did i would find nitrates/nitrites in the tank whcih i never did untill i raised the p.h right ? correct me if im wrong

I asked the question about ammonium on the forum sometime ago and was told that it gets processed into nitrites, may be i have been given duff info.

in your first pic, why is there so much liquid in the ammonia tube, compared to the amount in the second pic ? with that much difference, i wouldnt be believing either of those results. i assume you done the test properly with both liquids, shaking them like a mentalist for 30 seconds ? sorry if im telling you something you know, just checking.

the reason the level is so high is because i have to add obvisully 16 drops in total to the 5ml and in the one beside it it is only 3 i assure u i recheaked this twice and got the same results and yes i followd exactly what it said on the instructions

Are you supposed to shake the 2 Ammonia bottles? I only do that for the 2nd Nitrate one (ooops)

Only the nitrate one, so i think?

You don't shake any of the bottles apart from the bottle of nitrate labelled No2
